TourniTek is the first pre-hospital treatment for limb threatening injuries. Using therapeutic cooling, TourniTek preserves injured limbs in the field until patients can be transported to definitive surgical care. By treating these injuries prior to surgical care, TourniTek can prevent amputation and permanent disability. TourniTek is a critical preparedness tool that can be used in mass casualty events or a variety of acute care situations such as hypothermia, hyperthermia, and burns.
