Eric Hennenhoefer is an accomplished entrepreneur and technology executive with a wealth of experience in microprocessor design, computer hardware and software, technology roadmaping, AI/ML, and numerous emerging technologies. He currently serves as the Co-founder and CEO of Cerfe Labs, a company focused on semiconductor memory device and materials research, which he spun out of Arm Research.
In addition to his role at Cerfe Labs, Eric has been an active partner and mentor at Capital Factory, a startup accelerator and venture capital firm based in Austin, Texas, since 2014. He has assisted numerous promising startups by providing guidance on scalability, business processes, strategic planning, coaching, and leadership.
Before founding Cerfe Labs, Eric co-founded Obsidian Software, a leading provider of verification technology and software utilized in microprocessor design. Obsidian Software was later acquired by Arm, where Eric worked for nine years, including five years as the head of Arm Research. During his tenure at Arm Research, he managed various technology projects targeting a 5-10 year time horizon.
Eric is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and helping them achieve commercial success. Since moving to Austin in 1995, he has been actively involved in various entrepreneurial activities, including serving as President of the Austin Chapter and Texas Region of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO).
