Garrett is the CEO at Union, a community management platform that supports the world’s top startup programs and the entrepreneurs they serve. Prior to his current role, he built the foundation of Union's product, sales and customer success functions and forged partnerships with Techstars and 500 Startups.
Before Union, Garrett helped to launch and operate the 1776 Challenge Cup, a global pitch competition across 75 cities and 4 years. As part of 1776 events team, he also developed original events and managed a unique convening space for the growing DC tech community. A Montgomery County, Maryland native, Garrett holds a dual degree in History and Political Science from the University of Michigan.
