Josh Kerr is an 8x startup founder and angel investor. Josh rose to prominence in the tech world with a first-of-its kind e-signature mobile app, Zosh, which he patented and served as CEO. Zosh was acquired in 2008 by YouSendIt (now Hightail). Josh was later tapped by Amazon Web Services to leverage his visibility in the startup community to target cutting edge investment opportunities. Josh is also a trusted fixture in the venture capital community, having most recently conceptualized and launched with private funding a content marketing company, Written, where he also acted as CEO.
Josh’s first solo venture was Ideal Science, an enterprise discussion forum software whose breakthrough security features caught the attention of tech giants including Microsoft. Ideal Science was also trusted by clients including CNN, the FBI, GigaOm and the U.S. Department of Defense. Ideal Science also enjoyed success in the gaming community, where market leader Bungie Studios partnered with Ideal Science to create a white-labeled version for the launch of Halo 2.
Josh Kerr’s investments are available on Angel List. He participates in various Capital Factory funds in addition to his participation as a founding venture partner at NextGen.
Josh has a Computer Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
