Dr. Kimberly Yearick Spangler is an executive technologist and the CEO of AegisCoat, where she serves as a DARPA Embedded Entrepreneur guiding the commercialization of breakthrough surface-coating technologies. Simultaneously serving as the CTO of Orefine, she leads the technical and operational foundations for a U.S.-based critical materials production pathway. Kim previously served as a Senior Defense Official at the Pentagon, managing a $1B active R&D portfolio as the Executive Director of SERDP & ESTCP, where she accelerated the transition of environmental and energy innovations to over 500 military installations. She holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Georgetown University and is also the founder of Branches and Blooms Design, a profitable, sustainable flower farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
