Mike joined Scientific Health Development Partners in 2021 as an Associate. His primary responsibilities include deal flow, investment due diligence, and financial modeling. Prior to SHD, Mike gained venture experience as a venture manager for Cone Health Ventures, a market research consultant for Catalyst Health Ventures, and as an intern at Hatteras Venture Partners.
Mike earned his PhD in biomedical engineering from UNC - Chapel Hill under the direction of serial entrepreneur Mike Ramsey. His dissertation work on nanofluidics and DNA physics is published in ACS-Macromolecules. Mike brings a deep understanding of medical devices, diagnostics, and scientific research to the SHD team.
