Fractyl Health is a medical device company pioneering treatments for Type 2 diabetes (T2D) based on scientific insights into potential root causes of metabolic diseases. The company's lead therapeutic candidate, the Revita DMR System, is an outpatient endoscopic procedural therapy designed to target the gut as a potential root cause of T2D. The procedure ablates dysfunctional mucosa in the duodenum to enable regeneration of healthy lining within days. Fractyl Health has studied Revita in clinical trials involving close to 300 patients and has received U.S. FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and CE mark in Europe. The company also has an earlier-stage pancreatic gene therapy platform called Rejuva that could enable long-term remission of T2D by addressing insulin insufficiency.
