Frontier Resource Recovery

We turn harmful waste in the agriculture industry into a soil amendment that restores soil health for farmers and sequesters carbon.

About Frontier Resource Recovery

Having previously raised $405,000 from notable investors such as CarboNexus, Frontier Resource Recovery is now raising $150,000 to complete their carbon credit verifications, permitting with the TCEQ, field trials for their Texas A&M Research Partnership, and give them runway for their project raise which will begin in February.

Problem statement

11% of U.S. emissions come from the agriculture industry. 64% of these emissions come from manure and degradation of soils. Frontier Resource Recovery attacks this problem by transforming detrimental agricultural waste into a dual-purpose solution: they turn waste into biochar through their innovative pyrolysis technology, which sequesters carbon and also facilitates soil restoration in depleted areas.

This opportunity is particularly interesting due to the growing trend of global corporations pledging to attain 'Net Zero.' These companies are actively looking to buy Carbon Offset Retirement Credits from organizations like Frontier that are involved in extensive carbon sequestration. The current market supply of biochar-based carbon credits from existing companies falls significantly short of the high demand from corporations seeking to procure them, which puts Frontier's unique approach in a great position to answer their call.

Traction information

Proven Carbon Credit Viability Secured - Conducted various lab tests to reach desired biochar ash content and H/C ratio, which was accomplished by improved feedstock collection techniques -and production conditions. We are in the process of pre-verifying our carbon credits and securing buyer contracts.

Engineering Vendor Secured - ARTi chosen as the engineering vendor for Project 1 due to their robust and scalable technology

First Contract Established With Cattle Feedyard - Completed full technical analysis of viable solutions for Mc6 Cattle feeders. Including working on lab gasifiers to conduct thermal conversion testing for manure-based feedstocks. Pyrolysis chosen as technology of choice for project 1.
