Problem statement

1 in 2 people require physical therapy for a knee or hip and 1 in 4 people will have a THA (total hip arthroplasty - aka total hip replacement) or TKA (total knee arthroplasty - aka total knee replacement), and yet prior to Phantom Edge there were no devices designed specifically for hip and knee health which is achieved by targeting muscle group activation of the gluteus medius and maximus, hip adductors and abductors. This movement and muscle engagement is vital to help prevent injuries, to help hip and knee patients rehabilitate faster and better from surgeries, injuries & osteoarthritis, and to help the active aging population improve their stability and mobility, decrease their fall risk, avoid sarcopenia, maintain their independence for longer and improve their healthspan. Effective activation and strengthening of these muscle groups is also crucial in improving athletic performance in most sports.

We have clinical research studies in planning phase at two world class facilities -

Drs. Bonato, Zafonte and Crandell - Spaulding Rehabiliation Hospital, Boston - to evaluate whether incorporating Phantom Edge into patient protocols for the active aging population can increase healthspan, improve mobility and stability and support independent living.

Dr. Della Valle and team - Rush University Medical Center, Chicago - to evaluate whether incorporating Phantom Edge into pre- and post-surgery rehab protocols improves patient recovery times, reduces fall risk and improves overall patient outcomes.

GTM strategy

GTM strategy defined: Initial vertical - B2B launch into Physical Therapy (PT), rehab, orthopedics, sports medicine, gerontology and athletic/sports training to allow for professional uptake of Phantom Edge and patient/consumer usage and adoption. B2B launch will be used as a sales vertical/partnership to reach home-use customers (B2B2C) allowing the professionals to obtain Phantom Edge at little to no cost to their clinics, with only cost for use being the software licensing fee, and allowing the professionals to earn commission as affiliate partners allowing their patients/clients to purchase Phantom Edge for home use through each clinic’s exclusive access code. Customer orders will be placed via the brand site, and fulfilled directly. Patients/clients can then use Phantom Edge at home in-between visits/training sessions and chose share their performance data with their provider for better overall outcomes. Second vertical - sports specific, e.g skiing (through our Advisor Ted Ligety), hockey, tennis, pickleball etc - utilizing the same model as in the initial vertical. Third Vertical - once we have traction through B2B verticals, we will enter a full DTC launch. Plan to enter a strategic partnership/merger with an established consumer wellness/fitness company for the DTC launch.
