Ms. LaTour is an astute business executive and visionary, a builder of successful new enterprises, a developer of effective and winning management teams, and a global market strategist.
Ms. LaTour has demonstrated leadership skills and extensive business and marketing management experience in entrepreneurial business ventures, turn-around management and corporate operations. She has been successful in starting and building new ventures, repositioning under-performing organizations, restructuring organizations for planned growth, identifying and negotiating mergers and acquisitions for successful companies, and restarting failing businesses.
Ms. LaTour has served the high technology, healthcare, and consumer industries for over 30 years. In addition to her CEO position at X-lumin, she also serves as the Operating Partner for LFE Capital, a private equity firm with a focus on investments in innovative health and wellness companies. Previously she served as President & CEO of World Telehealth Corporation, an internet-based healthcare distribution company serving the G77 countries; CEO of ContourPak International, a cold therapy healthcare products company (acquired by Futuro); Founder & CEO of RedCreek Communications, a industry leader in network security (acquired by SonicWall (SNWL); President & CEO of Cross Access Corporation, an industry leader in data access and data warehousing software technology, (acquired by IBM); Vice President and General Manager, Data Communications Group, AST Research; Senior Director of Product Programs for the Data Communications Group of Amdahl Corporation; International Consultant and Partner of Latco International, an international business consulting organization (residing overseas); Founder and Vice President of Tra-Tech, a training and educational company (acquired by McGraw-Hill); President of DNA Optical, a precision optical manufacturing company (acquired by American Optical); Ms. LaTour began her career in the high technology field as a Systems Engineer at the IBM Corporation.
Ms. LaTour has extensive experience in the mergers and acquisition field gained through mergers and acquisitions of her own companies, and through assisting client companies with the identification and negotiation of strategic acquisitions for growth and market positioning.
Ms. LaTour currently serves as Chairman of the Board, eMindful, Inc.; Community Board Member of WeVenture Inc. and the Crummer Business School at Rollins College. Formerly, Ms. Latour served as the Chairman of the Board for Futori International Ltd. and Board Member of World Telehealth Corporation, Contour Pak International Inc., Palm Tree Software Inc.; Contempo Health Inc.; RedCreek Communications Inc., and Cross Access Corporation. She was a Founder, Executive Director and Board Member of The Enterprise Network, a non-profit organization in Silicon Valley focused on improving the success rate of new ventures. In addition, Ms. LaTour served as a member of the IBM Board of Advisors for Silicon Valley. Ms. LaTour currently serves on the Regional Joint Partnership Capital Task Force for Orlando, Inc.
Ms. LaTour holds a B.S. in Mathematics from University of California, Los Angeles, M.S. degrees in Mathematics & Behavioral Psychology from University of Southern California and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.
