Laser-based 'Wireless Fiber' for high-bandwidth, hyper-secure ground, air, and space communication.
Confirmed by founderX-lumin is an advanced laser communications company developing proprietary free-space optical (FSO) communication systems for ground-to-ground, ground-to-air, and ground-to-space applications. Their core platform, TeraLink, delivers up to 4,000 Gb/s with no spectrum licensing, low latency, and quantum/AI-ready architecture — enabling 'Wireless Optical Networks.' The company offers two ground-to-space models — the OGT-SALT (Small Aperture, Lightweight, Transportable) and OGT-LAMB (Large Aperture, Multi-Beam) terminals — alongside TeraLink Prime, a terrestrial system. These systems have been proven in field with on orbit assets delivering SDA 3.1 standards, and terrestrially with 400Gb/s full duplex throughput. X-lumin serves commercial and government customers including DoW, CSPs, carriers, and satellite operators, with a dual-use hardware/software business model similar to Cisco or Apple.

Data demands are increasing 3X over the next few years driven by AI, IoT, Quantum, and proliferation of data centers in orbit and terrestrially. Microwave is reaching its physical limits - it cannot deliver 6G capacity. Fiber carries a huge cost in CapEx and OpEx - from cuts to theft, permitting and construction delays, long revenue recoupment periods, and is impractical for use to space. Both technologies lack security, as they are susceptible to eavesdropping, jamming or interception. The technologies we are deploying right now require a foundation in order to succeed - the infrastructure must be upgraded. Wireless Optical is the perfect hybrid technology - high bandwidth, low latency, hyper-secure with Low probability to detect/intercept, and works in contested environments. Optical is inevitable, and X-lumin is delivering proven, turnkey wireless optical systems for ground to space and terrestrial use by dual use government and commercial customers.
X-lumin has won the Space Florida Accelerating Innovation Award and the Florida Venture Forum Competition. Their OGT-SALT terminal has demonstrated two-way communication with on-orbit T1 satellites compatible with SDA 3.1, TeraLink Prime is in-field at 400 Gb/s with Viavi-validated results and active Tier 1 SP/carrier pilot discussions, and the company is in active discussions with four satellite operators. They project ~2-3X YoY revenue growth and have received two Direct to Phase 2 SBIR awards with SDA and AFWERX.
