Joe Guzman entered active duty with the US Army in 1994 after having graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY. Transitioning from the Field Artillery Branch after eight years, Guzman became one of the Army's cadre of Space Operations Officers (Functional Area 40), specializing in the application of space technologies to Army and Joint operations to include multiple combat tours and culminating with duty in the Pentagon, U.S. Strategic Command, and U.S. Space Command. He retired from the Army in 2020 and immediately went to work as an entrepreneur, with aspirations of making a positive impact on the world through space technology. Guzman holds an MBA from Cameron University (2000), and MS in Space Systems Operations Management from Webster University (2010), and an MA in National Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College (2015).
