Josh Cliffords

FreeWater Founder & CEO

Biography

Josh sold his sports performance business in his mid twenties and used the money to travel around the US in an RV for 18 months. When he ran out of gas money he sold the RV and went to South America for half a year. He then listed in the Army to go from civilian to special forces and was injured while training and was medically retired in his late twenties. For his 30th birthday he went on a trip around the world where he was confronted by a mass influx of refugees in Europe and decided to do something about it. He launched a non profit in Eastern Europe called "Save the Refugees" which helped thousands of migrants along the Balkan's route. His experience with refugees made him realize a mass percentage of migrants fled their country because of a lack of water and food. This project is a multi layered hack that is designed to end global famine without any government involvement. Josh utilized "Special Forces playbook" to create a project that is designed to be a force multiplier.
