Biography

Mr. Sajol Ghoshal (born 1957) has been involved in multiple startups with successful exits through his career: Level One acquired by Intel for $2.2B, Agere acquired by Lucent Technologies for $450M and TAOS acquired by Austria MicroSystem AG for $350M. He is currently the CEO of Advanced TeleSensors, a high growth emerging medical device company whose vision is the early detection of heart disease for patients in nursing homes and aging adults through touchless continuous monitoring of vital signs, enabling a “proactive and pre-emptive” approach to identify incoming health problems, rather than only reacting after serious symptoms have emerged. The technology was originally developed at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Labs (JPL) in Pasadena California.

In his 40 years in the industry, he held the position of Vice President of Strategic Developments at Austria MicroSystems where he helped develop a spectrometer-on-a-chip for medical applications, has held the position of Vice President of Engineering of Agere Systems (acquired by Lucent) a start-up delivering the industry’s first 2.5/10Gigabit/s Network Processor and the Director of Engineering at the start-up Level One Communications (acquired by Intel), delivering high speed networking ICs. Mr. Ghoshal graduated from IIT Kharagpur, holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, is the author of over 40 patents and publications.
