BetterWay delivers a revolutionary new fingertip blood testing experience that does not require phlebotomists and has been proven to be patient preferred while producing results that are clinically equivalent to conventional methods. The Ambulatory Care market is large, growing rapidly, and increasingly competitive. With sites of care on every corner, patient experience is the key differentiator. BetterWay enables large healthcare systems and other providers to be more competitive and remove barriers to Ambulatory Care growth while improving staffing efficiency. BetterWay also enables retail pharmacies to extend their services to include blood testing. This adds more value to their pharmacy customers, allowing them to get needed tests at the same location their prescriptions are filled.
BetterWay launched in May 2024 in retail pharmacies, and is available in over 25 locations in the greater Austin, TX area including H-E-B, Sam's Club, and Peoples Rx. Babson is currently in discussions with many large health systems and other providers, and is nearing commitments with multiple organizations. Babson has a three-year partnership with Olympic gold medalist and public health advocate Gabby Thomas to raise awareness about the importance of blood testing and BetterWay’s ability to increase access to it. Babson has raised approximately $85M in total funding including Siemens Healthineers, BD, Emerald Development Managers, and others. The company has ~45 employees.
