Airlines make less than 3% profit because aircraft cost too much to build, maintain, and operate. Airlines are begging for solutions that will decrease their costs and also fill the $2T new vehicle demand shortage. Fundamentally these problems exist because the core manufacturing processes for aircraft hasn't changed since WWII. Airlines and passengers are demanding increased performance and decreased costs, but the industry is struggling just to keep up with last generation aircraft production.
After raising a $1M pre-seed, we built and flew our 1/8th scale 22-foot wingspan 300lb prototype in just 9 months. With first flight, our proprietary composite manufacturing processes are at TRL3, ready for scale up and testing. Customers have laid out a clear path towards collecting orders which we will meet over the coming 16 months.
