Samtracs designed a single-axis tracker that reduces the cost of building solar photovoltaic farms by 12% and increases its yearly revenue by at least 10% using generative artificial intelligence intra-hour forecasting. Both solutions add 30% more value to the utility solar farm, that is $46 million per 100 MW.
Samtracs simultaneously solves two problems faced by utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) plant developers : 1) the soaring cost of constructing utility-scale solar farms, due to a piece-meal construction process, and 2) the curtailment (reduction) of solar power output by grid operators due to solar intermittency, which causes lost revenues for plant owners.
