About Sentinel

Sentinel is an identity and access infrastructure platform designed for modern, multi-environment software teams. We provide a unified identity layer that handles authentication, authorization, and enterprise SSO across development, staging, and production environments without duplicating configuration or compromising security.

Today, teams are forced to stitch together fragmented identity solutions for OAuth, SAML, RBAC, and environment-specific access, creating operational risk, inconsistent policies, and painful developer experience. Sentinel centralizes identity management into a single control plane, allowing organizations to define users, roles, and access rules once and apply them consistently across all environments and services.

Our platform is built with a developer-first approach, offering flexible APIs, environment-aware access policies, and native support for modern auth standards. Sentinel aims to reduce identity complexity while enabling companies to scale securely from early development through enterprise adoption.

Team

Problem statement

Modern software teams face increasing complexity managing identity and access across multi-tenant applications, multiple environments, and growing security requirements. Authentication, authorization, SSO, and role management are often handled by disconnected tools that don’t scale cleanly from startup to enterprise, leading to duplicated effort, misconfigurations, and security risk. As SaaS products grow, teams need identity infrastructure that is flexible, environment-aware, and enterprise-ready without the operational overhead and rigidity of traditional IAM platforms—yet that gap remains largely unaddressed.

Traction information

Sentinel is currently in active development with a production-grade architecture already in place, including multi-environment deployments (dev, staging, production), tenant-based routing, and a scalable Kubernetes-backed infrastructure. The platform is being designed and validated through real-world implementation needs, with early integrations covering authentication flows, domain-based tenancy, and secure service orchestration. Initial interest has been generated through community outreach and early partner conversations, demonstrating demand for a modern, developer-first identity platform even prior to public MVP release.
