The South Florida ClimateReady Tech Hub, led by the Miami Dade County Office of Innovation and Economic Development, addresses the urgent need for sustainable and resilient infrastructure (SRI) solutions to combat the global climate crisis. Leveraging the region's coastal and marine infrastructure, clean cement and energy efficiency industries, and academic institutions, the Tech Hub aims to develop, commercialize, and scale SRI technologies focused on climate adaptation and mitigation. With a $19 million grant, the Hub will implement projects to scale low-emission concrete technologies, establish inclusive workforce development programs, and foster collaboration across the climate and capital ecosystem. The Hub is dedicated to bridging systemic gaps by engaging underserved communities to ensure shared prosperity and improved climate outcomes.
