The Energy Transition and Global Supply Chain needs more sustainable feedstocks, and we have an incredible amount of carbon sources undervalued and wasted. More specifically, today, only less than 1% of the flights are fueled by Sustainable Aviation Fuel and the bottleneck is the availability of feedstocks (soybean oil, used cooking oil, and animal fat).
Cemvita has scale up a unique process for production of renewable feedstocks from carbon waste. We currently operate a 55,000 L capacity pilot plant. The produced microbial oil samples are currently being used to test the effectiveness for applications in SAF and other bio based oil applications. Cemvita plans to start engineering on its commercial demonstration plant in Q4 of 2023. Cemvita has also inked an offtake agreement with United Airlines to sell 1 billion gallons of SAF across 20 years: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20230913981691/en/
