Manufacturers face mounting pressure from tightening global PFAS regulations (EPA, state-level rules, EU REACH/PFAS restrictions), downstream customers demanding PFAS declarations before they'll buy, and fast-escalating litigation exposure: 3M's ~$10B settlement and DuPont/Chemours/Corteva's $2B New Jersey settlement are recent examples.
