The rapid proliferation of spacecraft, space debris, and kinetic threats (like ballistic missiles) has rendered existing Space Domain Awareness (SDA) capabilities inadequate. Current systems which rely on a small number of exquisite, high-cost radars and telescopes, cannot provide the necessary coverage to address these threats. Existing solutions fail to integrate all available sensor data, particularly from large nontraditional sensor networks. This leaves government and commercial operators exposed to high-consequence risks, creating an unacceptable gap in global space security and operational resilience.

Hyperios’s physics-aware sensor synthesis platform unifies fragmented sensor data into a clear, real-time picture to detect and characterize space and missile threats. Our platform extracts the raw physical measurements taken by sensors and combines them using physic-based algorithms and ML to unlock the full value of diverse sensor observations. Our beachhead capability detects ballistic missile launches using GPS receivers that cost 100,000x less than existing early warning systems.

Hyperios has secured $1.7M in government funding from USSF, MDA, NASA, and NOAA, and holds contract vehicles including SHIELD IDIQ and a Phase II SBIR. Their software is live, operational, and integrated into the USSF Sandbox Environment, and they have received support from MassChallenge and Creative Destruction Labs accelerators.
