HYM is addressing the largest unserved audience in healthcare today - kids and teens on Medicaid. This problem has 2 components: 1). The mental health crisis devastating the youth of our country has skyrocketed the number of kids and teens that need mental and behavioral health services. 2). Medicaid is so difficult to engage with that very few providers accept it. Kids can face years-long waitlists at a clinic, and have precious few online options. Medicaid is widely avoided because It takes an excessively long time to contract and credential with Medicaid, this differs state by state, is fragmented within each state across MCOs, and Medicaid standards and requirements have implications for a provider's tech platform, consent management, data collection and reporting that make it prohibitive for the large "matching" marketplaces today who don't operate on a single uniform platform.
