Cerfe Labs is building on 5 years of investment and promising early results at ARM, and they launched roughly two weeks ago on Oct 1st 2020 as an independent company, containing the team and related project assets including over 150 patents. ARM is creating a spinout company to commercialize a switching technology that will create a new class of non-volatile memory technologies capable of scaling to advanced nodes and beyond. In other words, they are creating new forms of memory chips.

DoD - In terms of DoD, they are not currently working together, but would like to. The team has previously worked in DoD and the tech was used in the DARPA FRANC program. Emerging memory research is historically funded by DOD/DARPA. All electronics use memory.
