Chinese-produced drones by companies such as DJI and Autel control over 60% of the global commercial drone market. More than that, they are the preferred platforms by many public safety and military communities around the world. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has invested nearly $1B into DJI over the past 10 years and utilizes DJI technology in military drone programs. Additionally, it has been suspected that DJI, coerced by the CCP, is collecting data from DJI consumer drones for use by the Chinese military intelligence community and has even been accused of reporting Ukrainian drone pilot positions to Russian military forces. Regardless if any of these accusations have merit, it has led the international public safety, military, and commercial communities to send a clear demand signal for alternatives to DJI products that are US-made and similarly priced. Darkhive seeks to provide the dual use technology that addresses this critical need.
