GALE Secures U.S. Patent for Modular UAV Docking and Autonomous Data Collection System
IP Milestone — U.S. Patent Granted May 5, 2026
Gale Project Technologies has been officially granted U.S. Patent No. 12,617,564 B2 — "Remote Modular Data Collection and UAV Docking System and Method" — establishing the company's foundational IP position across drone infrastructure, autonomous monitoring, and edge-AI enabled response systems.
In addition, a ,continuance has been filed along with PCT International Filing.
The patent protects Gale's core platform architecture at the system and method level, covering both hardware and software-enabled operations across:
- Autonomous UAV docking, launch, recovery, and charging
- Modular, stackable sensor architecture with swappable mission profiles
- Onboard edge AI processing and closed-loop detection-to-response workflows
- Distributed pod networks deployable on existing infrastructure
This protection spans multiple high-growth markets including Drone as First Responder (DFR), counter-UAS, smart cities, critical infrastructure, defense, and disaster response.
By securing protection at the platform level rather than around individual features, Gale has established a defensible IP moat that extends across current and future product lines — including the company's Pinger micro drone detection device — without requiring core infrastructure to be redesigned.
