Problem statement

The wedding industry is too niche: In today's Uber and Airbnb world, modern couples expect more then yellow-page style directory with photos and reviews; they want the ability to take an actionable step — to book the person they like on the platform.

On the other side, Vendors have invoicing software for payments. But they lack the front-end marketplace for consumers to discover their services, which further fragments the industry.

Traditional wedding companies target couples or vendors, but not both. None of our competitors (The Knot Worldwide, Zola, Honeybook) are in the transaction of services in this industry as they have gone deep and wide into being consumer (or) vendor focused.

As an Architect and design mastermind, Rumaiza designed the UI/UX of the Wedy App and Anas built the platform. With less than $185K raised with a friends and family round, Wedy has achieved a 596% YoY Growth in 2022, bringing in $1.8M in sales since its launch.

In 2023, Wedy closed the year strong by bringing in $1.2M in revenue.
