Bright Yeti

Revolutionizing farming, on earth and in space

About Bright Yeti

Bright Yeti is helping corn and soybean farmers grow bigger crops with fewer chemicals. Our product harnesses space and medical technology to boost crop health and outperforms the status quo by as much as 90%. Our end customers are farmers, and they purchase our seed treatments via seed distributors, a familiar purchasing channel.

The Bright Yeti team has backgrounds from NASA, Abbott Medical, and Lockheed Martin, and we are leading the next revolution in agriculture by bringing electrophysiology to the farm. With plant electrophysiology, our engineers and biochemists are fundamentally changing how people grow food on earth and beyond. This is the future of farming, and our technology will improve the global agriculture industry on a scale not seen since the commercialization of synthetic fertilizer.

Team

Problem statement

Farmers waste billions of dollars on fertilizers and chemicals every year. And when crops struggle to grow in the field, farmers repeat this waste by replanting. Fertilizers are dangerous, damage our climate, and ruin our water resources. Rising costs for chemicals and a lack of true innovation means farmers are getting squeezed, year after year, while they try to accommodate a global demand increase for the food supply. Farmers need deep technology solutions, not just incremental improvements.

Traction information

- Big customer trial success: reduced fertilizer replanting waste by 90%
- LOI signed with the largest sugarcane producer in Central America
- Bright Yeti featured in Successful Farming Magazine: https://rb.gy/ows2no
- Customer demand affirmed with in-field paid trials across multiple farm partners
- Product launched, performs 5x faster than beta
- Independent testing complete: yield increase results 3x better than expected

Milestones

January 2025

LOI Signed with #1 Sugarcane Producer in Central America

Bright Yeti announced the signing of a Letter of Intent to deploy this innovative crop technology and strategic expertise with the sugarcane farm operations of Pantaleon, the 11th largest global sugar agro-industrial organization headquartered in Guatemala.

April 2024

Version 2.0 Launched, Bright Yeti is in 5 states

Systems are now 50% lighter and half the size of Version 1.0. Shipping and processing for new customers is 2x as fast and easier to deploy. Bright Yeti is now operating with farmers in 5 states across the Midwest.

November 2023

Big Success with Customer Trial

Working with one of the top farmers in the USA, a 4th generation grower with experience at DuPont Pioneer, Bright Yeti treated seed performed 300% better than his premium products alone. We boosted yield and reduced fertilizer waste, two critical areas that drive farmer’s profitability.

March 2023

Implemented Subscription Revenue Model

Bright Yeti is now conducting paid field trials on a recurring, treatment subscription basis. Partner farms committed to multi-year agreements, demonstrating strong, repeatable demand for our technology.

March 2022

Version 1.0 Launched - 5x faster than Beta

Product version 1.0 is complete and farmers are eagerly implementing systems. We made engineering refinements to simplify the manufacture, packaging, and deployment. The system is now 95% autonomous, loading seed is 5x faster, and customer training only takes 15 minutes.

November 2021

Independent Testing Complete

Our Contract Research Organization (CRO) results are in: we aimed for a 5 bushel per acre increase in yields and crushed our goal: 15.5!

April 2021

Launched Beta

After successful lab tests, we’re ready for testing in the field. The team moved to Iowa to work onsite at a farm and embed ourselves into their operations. We spent weeks with the farmers to experience their pain points, and test how our technology can fit into their operations.
